Fully cnc from Al 7075 and Al 2024 and fully “added”: means 3D printed in PA12, raw finish to minimize any post-process as much as possible. In need, as per all INGRID components, any part is available as a spare and is widely compatible.

We started this project in 2017 and step by step we reached the target right now after 4 years, changing all the parts at least 10 time each. Thinking about electronics, about mech, about both. But definetly we understood we got the “mech”.

The target was: “make it simpler” starting from the previous R model, born just reducing the Q of our first crankset L2; but mantaining the weight limit
After some month of iteration between shapes and FEM, we reached this new “radical as clean” and definitive structure for this new crankset: 2 drilled “tubes” at sides and a machined matrix for a perfect stifness/weight ratio in aluminum cnc’d cranksets.
It’s a single 12 speed road, gravel cassette with a total range of 400%, the same of a double road system. Yes, no any miracle, except for simplicity vs some big gap at the extreme of it, optimizing the middle to make it smoother in the mainly used srockets.
We started with the 11t sprocket to minimize friction and power loss and at the same time use “normal” chainring at the front. Of course it could be fitted in “old” shimano HG freehubs. But even in XD driver body by SRAM.
CNC machined in 2 parts, one in steel and one in aluminium alloy. Both from solid pieces, steel part is heat treated after machining. Aluminium part is hardened with H.A. process.
